This beautiful Scania unfortunately came to a violent end in a blazing inferno on September 23rd 2019.

The driver had been unloading grain at a farm, using the trailer seen here, when the edge of the truck bed accidentally came into contact with a high voltage wire, causing it to instantly catch fire.

The driver managed to escape at the very last moment and suffered no injuries, the only damage being a partially melted sole on one of his shoes. The truck and trailer were completely obliterated, with only small parts of the trailer chassis remaining even remotely recognizable.

Despite the accident happening in September 2019, investigations into the cause of the accident meant, that it could not be officially written off until March the following year. It was determined, that the high voltage power line was not approved to be placed where it was, described as "an accident waiting to happen" because it crossed the yard very close in front of the truck unload zone, the other contributing factor was, of course, the driver not paying sufficient attention to the yard layout.
